Kick start your day with a yummy chocolate smoothie
I am a huge lover of smoothies! They are a great way of getting in some nutrients and vitamins in a yummy way. You can spice them up to be delicious, in fact so delicious you wouldn’t even know they were good for you. One of these great smoothies is my Chocolate and Banana Breakfast Smoothie. This tastes like a thick chocolate milkshake but what makes it even better is that it is sugar and dairy free. I have recently started cutting back on my dairy intake and using coconut milk instead really adds a yummy element to this – who doesn’t love chocolate and coconut?
What you need:
1 x frozen or fresh banana
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup raw rolled oats
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp raw cocoa powder
A blender or hand-held stick blender
Add all ingredients to blender or mix in a cup if using a stick blender. A frozen banana will make a thicker creamer smoothie but a fresh banana works fine.
Blitz until thoroughly combined and oats have disappeared.
Drink up and enjoy.
